Ένα από τα μεγάλα στοιχήματα της νέας ηγεσίας του υπουργείου Προστασίας του Πολίτη στην Ελληνική Κυβέρνηση είναι η αντιμέτωπιση των τροχαίων, με τη μαρτυρία της Φωτεινής, μιας γυναίκας που ακρωτηριάστηκε εξαιτίας τροχαίου, να συγκλονίζει.

Η Φωτεινή είδε τη ζωή της να αλλάζει μέσα σε ελάχιστα λεπτά τον περασμένο Αύγουστο, στην Ελούντα της Κρήτης. «Ακόμα δεν μπορώ να το πιστέψω και να το συνειδητοποιήσω πραγματικά όσο και να το παλεύω ότι έχασα το πόδι μου από τροχαίο, δεν είναι εύκολο» λέει στο Star η Φωτεινή.

«Έκανε προσπέραση στη στροφή και ταυτοχρόνως είχε το κινητό της για να βγάλει τη Σπιναλόγκα και ήρθε στην αντίθετη πλευρά, στη δική μας λωρίδα, κατευθείαν πάνω στο πόδι μου. Κάποιοι άνθρωποι όταν οδηγούν δεν καταλαβαίνουν ότι διακινδυνεύουν τη ζωή τους αλλά και τη δικιά μας ζωή» λέει η Φωτεινή για τις συνθήκες κάτω από τις οποίες έγινε το ατύχημα.
